I'm still a young pup and being taught lots of things by my owner, she thinks the most important thing is house training, so she asked me to share some of the tips that she's used on me to get me to be the perfect pup!
- Never shout at me when I have an accident, I don't quite understand, if you do I'll only get more confused.
- Remember to take me outside every time I wake up from a nap and about ten minutes after I've had some food, I normally need to go.
- Use the same spot outdoors to promote me going toilet, encourage me with a command word, and when I do, reward me greatly! (I like that bit)
- Whilst still learning, puppy pads are a great idea, always keep them in the same place, and secure them down, I thought they were a toy and carried one around the house.
- And finally remember I'm only a puppy and I'm still learning!
There you go, my top five tips for perfect puppy potty training! My owner has been using these techniques and I was house trained in just a week, and I'm only 9 and a half weeks old, aren't I a clever pup?!
